i am bataknese . my hometown is in north sumatera . as bataknese there is a tradition in the making of our name , such as taking our father's surname . because my father surname is tobing so my surnames is also tobing too. 

when i call my friends name usually i call them by their first name . because there is general tradition in Indonesia that allows us to call our friends . my names is divided into 4 part, my first names is for formal occasion , my middle name is for informal occasion and my third and my fourth name is barely used because not a lot of my friends know my last name. there is a few of my friends that i calls their last name , because some of them doesnt have a surname that you can call like usual like the others ,such as muhammad aqso , aqso is his last name and also a nickname.

in Indonesia there is a lot of etnic and cultures. some of our etnics people doesnt have to named their children with a surname ,  but some of them do. that the different between Indonesia and other countries .
